This evening’s Yorkshire Coast Derby with Scarborough Athletic has been well hyped up.
Chris Hardy may still be without six first team players however, much to his frustration.
Despite this, the Seasiders still managed to run rampant at Grantham Town on Saturday with injuries to contend with.
In attack, Matthew Tymon and Greg Rutherford are likely to remain sidelined tonight.
It was Arran Wearmouth and Bradley Fewster who led the line on Saturday, scoring three goals between them.
In midfield, Callum Patton, Dale Hopson and Corey Roper are all ruled out with ongoing injury problems.
Centre-back, Alex White is another outfield absentee. It was new loan signing, Matthew Elsdon who took his place on Saturday.
Goalkeeping coach Daniel Dixon will be the final absentee tonight at the Towbar Express Stadium at the Turnbull Ground.
Despite going into tonight on the back of three consecutive victories, Chris Hardy knows that his side cannot take anything for granted.
However confidence will be filtering around the squad and the hope will be that Whitby can at least match last season’s home fixture.
“This will be a totally different game,” Hardy said.
“We can use confidence from Saturday but we will need a different mindset this evening.
“The lads will want to use the confidence gained to help us get things right tonight.”
