Greg Rutherford is the latest player to join the ever-growing injury list ahead of the BetVictor Northern Premier clash with Grantham Town.
The striker had to be replaced during Monday’s 2-1 victory over Morpeth Town at the Towbar Express Stadium at the Turnbull Ground.
He made his first start of the season, replacing Matthew Tymon who had to be withdrawn in the previous match against Buxton.
Tymon is likely to miss out tomorrow as well leaving Chris Hardy with something of a selection headache as his available squad grows smaller.
Dale Hopson is also set to remain sidelined at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium after he was withdrawn against Gainsborough Trinity.
Also out is midfielder, Corey Roper who has been hit hard by injury since joining the Seasiders this summer.
Alex White and Callum Patton make up the injury list with Patton’s injury still looking likely to be long term for the Blues.
Despite Whitby’s recent record at Grantham being poor, Chris Hardy was reluctant to look back on the past.
He feels that if the Blues get things right, they are capable of claiming three points wherever they play.
“I don’t look at past results,” said Hardy.
“If we go there and we’re competitive like we have been so far this season then I think we’ve got a chance of getting something from the game.
“It could be a draw or even three points, but as long as we’re competitive it gives us half a chance.”
