Whitby Town team captain, Dale Hopson is deemed fit to face Widnes at the Halton Stadium in tomorrow afternoon’s Emirates FA Cup tie.
The Blues’ skipper has suffered with injury so far this season since limping off in the second game of the season against Gainsborough Trinity.
But after making a short cameo appearance in Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Scarborough Athletic, Chris Hardy is happy for the midfielder to return to action.
Another returning midfield player is Corey Roper, who like Hopson, has had an injury-hit start to the season with an ongoing ankle problem.
In attack, Greg Rutherford looks set for another match on the sidelines following an injury he received in the victory over Morpeth Town.
Matthew Tymon is also out. The striker did appear briefly in midweek but will sit out on Merseyside tomorrow.
At the back, loan signing Matthew Elsdon is expected to keep his place with Alex White still out with his back problem.
Callum Patton will also play no part whilst he continues his recovery from his back issue.
And following on from that, he is desperate for the Seasiders to get a good cup run going this season starting tomorrow.
“We will be giving everything,” said Hardy.
“Hopefully we will get the result that we’re looking for. I want a cup run just as much as everyone at the club.
“Having people such as Dale (Hopson) returning gives us that extra strength that will be needed
