Whitby Town are set for another game without having Matthew Tymon available to them due to an ongoing injury concern.

The striker was withdrawn late on in last month’s 4-3 thriller against Buxton and has only made one cameo appearance since.

Tymon looks like he will remain unavailable for the visit of the league leaders to the Towbar Express Stadium at the Turnbull Ground.

Also ruled out is fellow striker, Greg Rutherford who also has an ongoing problem, this time with his ankle.

Centre-half Alex White is also a doubt for the game against Hyde as he continues to recover from a back issue picked up prior to the game at Gainsborough Trinity.

Callum Patton also continues to sit out whilst he nurses a long-term back problem.

Talking after last week’s FA Cup triumph over Widnes, Chris Hardy admitted that he was keen to get these players back as soon as possible.

However, the Seasiders will have another full week to prepare for their next game so there is hope that the manager will have his full quota available shortly.

“Tuesday’s match being called off may have been a blessing in disguise,” Hardy said.

“We do need to get these players back. There’s maybe a little bit more depth needed to the squad.”
