The following was posted on the IFA managers/secretaries' list. Anyone interested in this? The main point is it could make money for our club with a return game...

Good afternoon guys,

At the end of each season we get the privilege to play at the home of our club Kidderminster Harriers. It is one day that we really look forward and although its no Wembley the facilities are good and the pitch is usually in good condition.

Last season we hosted Oxford United and AFC Halifax Town for two games and im sure they would confirm what a great occasion it was. We managed to raise £1000 for our club and our first team manager even turned out for us.

Well at the end of this season we will be doing it again and will be having another 2 or possibly 3 games and i am looking for opposition. The date will be early May although i wont be able to confirm the exact date till nearer the time as we are still threatening the play offs!

The cost per visiting team is £200, which works out at just £12.50 per player for a squad of 16.

The visiting team will get full use of the facilities and experiance a proper match day. The full 90 minute match will be officiated by ref/linesmen. A match programme will be produced and both teams will be announced on the tannoy and on the scoreboard. A photographer will be at the game and afterwards food will be provided in the Harriers Arms pub. We hope to raise around £1500 for Kidderminster Harriers.

If your team is interested please let me know off list as i will make a decision in the next couple of weeks.

If your club runs a similar event and you too are also looking for oppostion then we could maybe come to some agreement. Im hoping that Tranmere Rovers will be providing one of our opponents after they welcomed us to Prenton Park at the end of last season.

Kind Regards

David Pountney

Right, the big news is Kidderminster have granted us a fixture at Aggborough for the end of the season, probably May, I'll let you know when I do.  wtfc_clap

Kidderminster can't make the 25th so we're going to leave this for a year, hopefully people will have a bit more cash to spend by then.
