The Blues welcome Prescot Cables to the Turnbull Ground tomorrow keen to get their league plans back on track. Last weekend's 4-1 reversal at Eastwood was followed by a highly encouraging 6-0 League Cup victory over Garforth Town on Tuesday night, despite the absence of Ashley Lyth and skipper Matty Appleby.

Both are likely to miss out again, with Lyth suffering a trapped nerve in his back on Saturday. Management duo Phil Brumwell and Graham Clark are likely to field the 14 that performed so well in West Yorkshire midweek which means a first league start this season for Tom Claisse and home debuts for centre-halves Stephen Tobin and Lee Pallender.

The two sides have met six times, securing three wins each. Last season, a sole Lee Nogan goal was enough to give Town victory on Merseyside, but Cables turned the tables in the return encounter, coming from behind to beat a nine man Whitby side 2-1 courtesy of an 89th minute winner.

Kick-off is 3.00pm with gate prices the usual £7.00 adults, £4.00 OAPs, £2 Under 18s.
